White Ball

State 12th Man
Go after it when they take the new ball or should it have been before they took the new ball? I'd think should have been before.
I am with you. Have a go before the new ball runs and overs both important here then again maybe Mitchell in this form feels the ball will come on even better with the new ball?

Don't mind that from Henry, he tried and he's gone. At least this will help us get another 15-20 runs. Otherwise we'll have played for a draw which is not ideal. We should still be looking to win the series.

He may not get enough to face though. He'll get a not out but that's not of use

Are there any extra overs to be bowled today?

England is 1-0 up. Are they really going to try to chase down say 280 odd in a little over two sessions?

Stokes is pretty aggressive on the field (and off), but that would be pretty ballsy in your first home series as skipper.

Don't think the Steve Waugh approach towards batting with the tail is a great idea when they're peppering them with the short stuff, only a matter of time before Henry succumbed. Anyway, hope Mitchell is able to up the scoring a bit.

It’s still already looks like a hell of lot of runs in the 4th innings in under a day. Not that many years ago the team batting last would make 160 for 2 and we’d all go home. Different game today.
Certainly less predictable.

Jamieson going to put his back out even further trying those hook shots
He clearly decided he'd rather some quick runs in this situation than preserve himself for the next test. Hmm.

Also, how predictable the tail falling to the short ball stuff. At least bat it out till the new ball to see if England take it, and then start swinging FFS.

Really think Mitchell should have been trying to farm the strike a lot more. And seriously, how many times has Jamieson been out hooking recently?

Jamieson's batting is getting very SOuthee-esque. Thought he'd be a genuine asset at number 8 when he started. Not looking so likely currently.
