Someone in the crowd from the Green Army. That shoes off thing is a regular tribute to our manager Steven Schumacher.
I saw that but was watching with the sound off.

Mags have been doing "shoes off if you love the toon" for over a decade.

I thought Plymouth fans had more class than them morons. Perhaps only basing this off them being me granddad's team, didn't get to any of our games agains you during our league one stay.

It’s only because our managers name is literally Shoe-Maker.
I didn’t know the Toon Army did it.

Well batted England. Nice for Pope (and his average) and what can be said about Root - amazing run of form. Terrible if Jamieson is injured. Losing CDG in the last test and now Jamieson in this one along with Kane's covid has been far from ideal.

I haven't seen any of it. But the scoreboard tells me that Matt Henry (who has a terrible record as a third seamer) has just probably had his worst day in a role he already had a really, really bad record at.

I didn't mind them not picking Wagner for first test, based on his lack of bowling, and then on the balance they went in with for that match.
But this test the balance is square pegs, round holes.
This team is so rotten. In plummet.

Joe Root has been ridiculously good in this purple patch of form. Played some shots today where it seemed he was literally hitting a ball wherever he wanted to regardless of what line it pitched. It is a flat one but this is still a very useful NZ attack which we’ve nullified to this point.

It isn’t often England have replied so well to a big first innings score from the opposition, yes it’s flat, yes it’s still been Root leading the way, but we haven’t had many days where we can enjoy watching us bat. Delighted for Pope too, now hope Root and Foakes can get us closer to parity and maybe even beyond.

The Guardian have written an article, today to say how wonderful New England are in a defining way, just as they wrote an article about how awful we were yesterday in a defining way, I look forward to the over-reaction on tomorrows play, whichever way it might go. Again must be very wearying for the purveyors of hot takes, every single bloody day.

I do find it funny how both teams went from perfect fielding performances to absolute rubbish in the space of one test though. If there's ever a pitch where catches mattered, it's probably a dead one. Chances don't come easy.

good to see boult get a few poles. i know i said going into the series i would not have picked him (in favour of the spinner and wagner) but he has been unlucky this game and has bowled well all series bar a couple of spells.
It's not worth any hot takes about who should or shouldn't have been playing, this pitch is an absolute road.
still need to find ways to win on them though.

like idc how flat it is, the players and management have questions to answer since the WTC final.

cool to see ravindra go ****in bang also and hey nice to see will williams pick up 2/42. i think he could really have a fun 5 years or so playing in nz in the summer and the uk over winter. i think he would be a very reliable long format county player.
