AXI playing two Devvies vs the SZA teams. We bet TNT comfortably in a strong all-round batting display. Ricky Simmonds donning the gloves had mixed (bad) results, shelling five and taking three catches.

Now we're up against TMO - who, surprisingly, we outrate. 20 overs gone, they are 90-4. (A run out one of the wickets, of course.)
Brought in some new players half way through the last season that dropped the development team down a few pegs, but hopefully help us long term. I had to many players in same age categories and needed to spread out over a few years.

Can not believe that the TMOs actually lasted the 40 overs there... Passmore and Awan surviving for so long is not really a thing. But Davidson also played an innings that I would hope he does not play that often, even if he carried his bat to the end.

A thrashing by the cows; no one could stay around to support Branning. Good work from Winton against his old club, but not many other positives. Well played. I note that Jamil Gul recorded the best BQ for Moooo.

AXW vs CCC: strong half-century from Dan Price, we should be able to wrap up the chase comfortably.

Always a good thing when Michael Winton performs. That was a comprehensive win, our batters stuck in and played timed..especially Jardine who started slow and then explode in the latter stages of his innings. Bart Way is in a rich vein of form and his century is welcoming to the Mooo camp.

On the subject of Jamil Gul's BQ...certain players are made for greatness and Gul is one of those guys...I'll admit that he's quite the meme-worthy bowler of our club, but his influence and power (that comes with him captaining the team) speak volumes...even young Hadi Hafeez had a good game with the ball, and his BQ was 2.0!

Good death hitting there: Simmonds making up for his lull beforehand, scoring a century; and Ludlow showing his power. 290-8 will be a tough chase for Ashgrove.

man you all have been busy in the off season

I still need to find the time to do a bit of end-of-season analysis for both club sides + the BD Nat team!

Gonna be a long year for the Pirates. Div 2 in SOD and T20. 6 bots in Div 3 Dev.
seems perfect tbh. Get all your nearly-at-their-prime 19-21 YOs to play loads of senior cricket and get the next gen of 16-18 YOs tons of gametime in Dev. If you can avoid relegation from the Div 2 your team will be massively stronger by the end of the season.

GG play AXW in a T20 soon. Both sides don't play many T20s but I reckon both sides are pretty good at them. Should be a fun game.

Disappointed that only two guys made runs in that match…Captain Gul was up to his cunning ways…

Let’s go to the game coming up, T20s are our least played format. Not much I can say…
