So how do you guys rate the characteristics? Do you think they make a big difference to the player? What is import for you?
I wouldn't want some characteristics with some skills - like death bowler for a high acc/mov seamer, quick runner for an opener, any fielding skill with a crap fielder - but ultimately I've had success with such players anyways. I think it's all very minor, and you could set lineups completely ignoring them and still beat teams weaker than you. Finding a way to optimize characteristics shouldn't take preference over using players skills well.

I don't mind Superstar/Erratic/Influential, but I'd almost certainly drop them once their touch gets to around 5 and I have alternatives that are nearly as good ready to take their place.

Done. Now an awkward wait, due to uncertain NRR.

Genuinely thought we were gone; had needed 40 off 4 overs, and the previous 40 runs had taken 8 overs. What stupidity, to win a div 2 (if the weakest of them all) after being 3rd in div 3 last season.

Just realized I played my full strength TMOs team in the SOD today! And it could make me king maker... feel a little bad about that. Largely been playing my development team most of the season.

Nevermind... top of the league not likely to lose. It would be nice to get a win though here, thinking about it. Before I drop back down into 3rd div.

The plan was always to try get to div 2 last season (as a bit of a test). But knew if I wanted to improve the squad long term, my developing players need max game time. And that would likely mean me dropping back into div 3 this coming season. Hopefully, I can get to the top of my div 3 and get back into 2 this coming season.

Looking at my squad I realize now how lucky the TMOs got picking up the batsmen they did via scouting. I have managed to buy some decent bowlers over time, but would never have afforded those batsmen. Hopefully TNT get this lucky as well.

And this is why I continue to question BQ as a good method to asses bowlers and attacks. Too frequently players with very poor BQ will get wickets and not go for runs in situations that no matter how random things can occur, does not feel realistic. Yes sometimes meme happens, but meme should not be consistent in every game. I find it frustrating because how do you judge anything if the RNG seems to dominate.

I like the 2 groups of 9 seeded based on CW rankings, but for KO stage can I suggest:

Eliminators
1st Group A vs 2nd Group B
1st Group B vs 2nd Group A
Winners to Semi-Finals

1st Eliminator Loser vs 3rd Group B
2nd Eliminator Loser vs 3rd Group A
Winners to Semi-Finals

Semi-Finals, Finals.

Gives 1st and 2nd place 2 cracks at making the Semi Finals, while 3rd place gets one go. So it's an incentive to finish in the Top 2 of either group, while actually keeping 6 teams in the running for the title.

The remaining 12 teams can play similar KO stages, with 6 teams in each. So we can go Gold, Silver and Bronze Champions.
Intrigued in others thoughts but am fine with that personally, effectively 2 ways of getting similar outcome - my initial proposal would mean Group Winners would only need to win 2 games as opposed to 3 if you finish 2nd/3rd. Main difference being 2nd gets an additional chance in your proposal. But yeah I'm fine on my end to go with what you suggested for knockouts.
