Waters was a non-negotiable, Winton not bowling would've meant an even worse lower order. Kaiser shouldn't have played probably, especially considering the impact of the tail on the game (which Kotze/Frost would've improved).

I bungled promotion in SOD from being too smart with team selections whilst trying to maximise IGT. Considering selling off all my oldest (and best, and highest wage) players

You can still promote in T20 and Dev. No point burning your entire squad. You have 9 senior players, so could hold onto 8 of them around in order to remain competitive in T20 Div 2.

Remember there is also the Cup when the new season starts, so if you're in Dev Div 2 and have a 50 over cup game on Sunday you could be stretching your best U21 players too thin. I usually only sell off older players once I've been eliminated from the cup.

Hi everyone,

I woke up this morning to find I had dropped a point to the 3rd place team in my OD match. It is a concern because it now means 2nd is 4 points behind me and we still have to play them before the season is over (so they could overtake us with a 5pt win) - it seems unlikely though - a 4-1 pt win to them would be enough for Jura to promote ...anyway I'm waffling .....

Recently Jura's ground was expanded to 12,000 - i had been selling out at 10,000 - and the investment looked good as the 3 home games since then were 10,943, 11,760 and 12,000 (although 2 of these were friendlies).

So I was shocked to find when I played a 'live' team this morning my crowd (OD- Melbourne Redbacks) was just 6,889 - they have 691 jubilant fans.

I am confused by this lowly attendance number - my 1.209 fans are overwhelmed so why the grubby attendance ? I thought home crowds were largely based on home supporter size and supporter feeling - this is a total drop in numbers?!?!? Anyone have an insight into why this has happened?

Good insight thank you- that is a major impact - I just looked back on some matches where cloud was in the 80's and they certainly had lower attendances than would be expected - it seems the wind is the killer!! I wish it was only windy for away matches and friendlies !!!

I'll have to put in a request to the DEVs to add windbreaks and heaters at the Jura ground - it's cold oop in wee Scotland!

Our Moo boys are getting absolutely thumped so far...

10 overs left in the first innings, and they are comfortably placed on 266 for 3.

Hope to restrict them for something around 320. I already know that we are not gonna chase that against their 60K+ bowling.
