*Official* England in West Indies 2022

Weird day. Annoying to lose the last wicket at the end, but tbh we probably go down first over tomorrow anyway if we'd finished 9 down. And whilst you can rarely be happy with a score of 204 and the partnership suggests that WI will probably not find batting too difficult, given how livid I'd be with that partnership if the roles were reversed, I can live with today.

I get the happiness at the last wicket stand, but let's be real here, it's massively our day.

We just have to bat well and then capitalise against the old ball. I was delighted with our performance tbh.

What did Shami and Bumrah get to last year? That felt like the most annoying tailender partnership I can remember.

Think they were 9 and 10 but that was essentially two number 11s.

That WI batting lineup though..."just" batting well is quite a lot to ask of them. Decent day for WI but I think anything north of 200 probably has England slightly in front.

I know more than most how bad we are at batting but England's last pair put on 90... We're definitely ahead IMHO.

I really disagree, the last wicket stand must be demoralizing and when we look at what position we could have been in, really altered the early balance of the game.
Bowling, captaincy and fielding, all 3 were quite poor and noting the frailty of our own batting line up, we really let this opportunity to win the series slip from our grasps.
Only positive is that we didn't have to go out there and bat immediately after that partnership

Because Kraigg was lackadaisical...did he work on a strategy with his bowlers against this last-wicket pair?

Looked like he was just waiting for something to happen. Signs of a **** captain.
