CW's Ranking of Pace Bowlers (Tests)

Line and Length

Cricketer Of The Year
It's a pity that the list, as voted on by CW members, has become overshadowed (in terms of debate and discussion) by one individual's list. Can we get back on track because the voting has become harder to follow with so many comments about one person's views.

Victor Ian

International Coach
bond hardly has a career. He was great when he could play, but selecting him is as stupid as selecting bumrah. maybe moreso, as the weak **** only got to play when he was at the peak of his form, because he got himself injured before he had to play through troughs.
wagner is just an annoying fly. no skill, just keep on wagner balling until you are out trying to smash the **** **** out of the park. This world needs a prime Ricky Ponting to show everyone how to deal with him. The umps should no-ball the **** for bowling so many bouncers but they are inept because his bouncers are inept. I mean, he is successful, but in an enigmatic way. He is one of those **** ***** who gets wickets because everyone wants to take him out the back and kick him in the balls because he is a **** **** but you cant do that because of cameras, so you just snap and try to hit the **** **** out of the ground one too many times.
Southee is about due.

Wagner is incredibly skilled. If he wants to (and the pitch and overheads support it) he can pitch it up and swing it as well. Probably the 3rd best left armer of all time behind Wasim and Davidson and the 2nd best change seamer behind Garner. Workhorse with a huge heart who took wickets. If Australia had a Wagner they probably would've won the 2nd test in Pakistan.

Bond played over 7-8 years and was bowling through niggles, so hardly always bowling at his peak.

I voted for country singer Willie Nelson in the last round and he tied with Wagner. That might not have happened before in history.

Jeff Thomson.
