What about herbie Taylor?Scored over 500 runs against S.F Barnes in matting wickets. 'The English cricketers were unanimous that finer batting than his against Barnes at his best they never hoped to see,’.17-18 years later faced W.J O’Reilly and scored 78 and 82 in only battle the 2 had in Australia.Scored 315 runs in last series, just 7 runs short of bruce Mitchell against grimmett,ironmonger,O’Reilly (2 matches),Wall at the age of 42.
