yeah 250+ you feel won't be easy, either way will be interesting to see how NZ go batting 4th under pressure.

These boys are in at the perfect time to bat. Old ball, flat deck, respectable lead. This is their chance to be heroes.

There's nothing in the pitch here to suggest chasing 250 would be unachievable, though scoreboard pressure is a thing. 250-300 would be a very interesting chase, while anything over 300 is always difficult regardless of how flat it is. For now though these two looking completely comfortable, are picking up a few singles each over and being tight in defence, I'm not sure what our best method of picking them up is.

you're right, it would be huge....hugely disappointing.

Very throw back to the 90s SA team this with a long batting line-up but a dodgy top order. The SA team balance much better with Mulder at 7 and Maharaj playing. Petersen, Ngidi and Nortje's return is going to create difficult test selections. And need to get van Tonder in asap.
