CW's Ranking of All-Rounders (Tests)

h_hurricane

International Vice-Captain
Shakib has played a sum total of 8 tests in SENA countries. May not be his fault obviously unless he has skipped some of this tours which I don't recall. Interested to know if people who have voted for him are aware of his SENA sample size or just don't consider it important. He still has a very good record in those matches though.

Personally for me, that isn't a decent enough sample size to take down some one like Kapil.

Its not his fault that Bangladesh has barely played any matches in SENA countries and his average in those 8 matches is identical to his overall average so no, its not really a factor for me.

It's a fair point. And he skipped the tour of SA and nz recently so not sure I'd give him the benefit of doubt like I used to.

Little from Column A, little from Colum B.

Bangladesh haven't played many matches outside of Asia, yes. But equally he's skipped a number of recent tours for no real good (to me anyway) reason.

I'm torn over what order to place Faulkner-Hadlee-Kapil and given that Kapil is running away with this one I'm happy to throw my vote behind him too so we can call it and move on to the next one.

Kapil Dev
