We should just have Miller and Jadeja at 4 and 5 and move on to vote for sixth position. It is quite obvious.

Where does Jadeja rate amongst Indian all rounders?

Kapil is clearly no 1.
Mankad 2, Ashwin 3.
Jadeja or Shastri for no 4?
Who else is there? Prabhakar, Irfan Pathan? Any others?

Ashwin is a long way away from Jadeja in terms of all-round skills. Jadeja is a clear number 2 for me while Mankad is 3 and Ashwin is at 4. One innings in Australia suddenly doesn`t make Ashwin better. Jadeja also adds a lot of value through his fielding, saving runs as well getting at least a wicket through his fielding every match. Shastri at 5 rounds it up. India doesn`t have any other all-rounders. Others are all no-rounders.

Yes, and in spite of those 100s, Ashwin averages just 27 to Jadeja`s 33 which is a significant difference. His 5 100s in tests is like Jadeja`s 3 300s in Ranji. Doesn`t convey the real ability of them.
