India got the batting talent but we continue to play one paced plodders like kishan and rohit sharma, when you need to use your proper hitting power in 20 20 cricket the likes of ventekash iyer and suru yadav

Yeah guess Samson is gonna bat 4 for RR this IPL as well. He is a good backup for Pant. And I guess Manish is backup for SKY by default.

@karan_fromthestands you agree now Lord can bowl at the death? Deepak is good there too.

Will be interesting to see how TM backs Kishan here. Samson is in the squad as backup keeper for SL T20Is. I think they will back him for one more game.
Ruturaj deserves a full series at least here.

I expect this to be the batting order for those games... Deepak getting injured is unfortunate. Wonder who will get to replace him. Probably means Bhuvi now plays all the games in the SL series. But Jaddu is also back. I will go something like this -

The worry will be our PP bowling with this line up. But maybe Lord can surprise us still.

Rahul as opener is no no.. In middle order he can work fine. He will fail as an opener in cruch game again n again. He is not quite mentally too strong. Seen it in IPl & in World events.

Avesh's debut is so similar to the one Siraj had vs NZ in T20 in 2017. Bowled with a wet ball.. Expensive in PP too. Hopefully he learns from this. Bowled too many short balls that were not quite short.

Avesh was very clearly nervous. It cant be an excuse all the time, but he was obviously nervous, bowling with a wet ball on a pitch where the landing area and the entire outfield was extremely slippery. Will give him a bit more time before judging either way.

Windies are also getting a nice nucleus for their T20 side IMO. Their problem is their current 11 almost seems like a 11 #5 - #8s. But when they get all their players back, I expect something like this.

You need good control with the new ball for Australia and I think Oshane, Cottrell and Hussain with an odd over from Shepherd/Smith should do the trick for the PP. Russell, Oshane and again Shepherd/Smith can bowl the back 6 as well. Chase can control the the middle overs and Pollard, Mayers and Powell can all chip in if needed on a bad day. Wont bet against this side going deep in the T20 WC.

Alzaari Joseph over Oshane seems better. Oshane too loses control & can be spray gun. Joseph's high arm action & bounce he generates with pace can be vital in Australia

King has massive potential. I will take him ahead of Chase in Australia. It should be either Chase or Allen in the whole squad. Holder should be there for sure. He has been killing it this year with bat and ball.

I dont think Mayers has done enough to convince me. And I forgot about Holder, lol. And I think we can assume Russell would be 50-50 at best to play in the WC.

It does look really good on paper, this side. I think the second spin option would be important on the big grounds of Australia.

I don't think they are going to fail every single time in death overs, but they are limited. Shardul has a tendency to bowl loose stuff and Chahar's pace becomes a problem(although he has developed good slower ones to keep the batsmen guessing).

I do agree though that I've been overly critical of them, they aren't as bad.

I just hope everyone bats in IPL at the positions that they bat in the Indian team, so that they get used to it.

Kishan opens, Samson and S Iyer at 4, SKY at 5 and V Iyer at 6. But I don`t think that will happen.

Ishy Kishy will definitely open. Samson will bat at 4. But SKY may bat 3/4 and Shreyas will most definitely bat 3. And Venky will open.
