Sidney Barnes was the best of the medium-pace bowlers in my day, but the Australian W. J. O'Reilly followed him pretty closely.

I think chances are most people will vote Ambrose but there will be plenty of Lillees too. I don't think enough will vote Steyn so no point wasting a vote there. I think Steyn > Ambrose > Lillee.

Now that I've said this obviously nothing of the sort will happen.

Ambrose WPM (WPI especially ) is too low for a top tier atg, that too when there is not much competition for wickets within the team.

Steyn won the poll Steyn vs Ambrose 2-3 years back iirc.
