Best ever minnow batsman?

For the sake of keeping it interesting, let's define this to what players did in ODIs before their country got test status - or never got test status. Arjuna Ranatunga actually played an ODI for SL a few days before their inaugural test, so any definitions looser than this(ie debuted before their country got test status) would make it too easy.

Roy Dias? Steve Tikolo? Ryan Ten Doeschate?

International Vice-Captain
Andy Flower at the 92 world cup. Best minnow I have seen. Unsurprisingly.

RtD best minnow batsman I have seen playing non internationals. E.g. when playing for Otago.

I never saw Dave Houghton pre-tests except 92 world cup but he had quite a reputation at the time based on 87. But dont recall him having a good 92 tournament.

Didn't follow much white ball as Ireland and Afghan rose, so dont have a personal opinion on their stars of that time.

Ole has to get in I'd have thought.

Edit: Replying to Immenso's team, I don't think Mortensen would be considered the best batsman in Copenhagen.

I was just thinking about running an associates draft , didn't know it was already done before my time. 8 years on it would be quite different anyway so I probably still will when a couple finish
Thumbs up from me. I really enjoyed the 2014 version. Ended up reading quite a bit about Rhodesian/early Zimbabwean and Irish cricket. Fred picked a load of Sri Lankans which I then read a bit about. Yep - it would have changed a bit now, you'd think. But then, can you pick some of the current crop for First Class/Test type matches when you have no idea how they'd go - even if they're good in T20. At least the Intercontinental Cup was still a vaguely relevant thing back in 2014.

Finish the team off with Rooster from Somerset. One of the quickest bowlers I have ever seen was Van Troost.

The O'Brien brothers feel like they were on Tikolos level.
its hard to say. Kevin was/is a fine batsman who plays great innings every now and then but everyone who saw Tikolo says he was on another level from the associate bats at the time. Think I only saw him at the end of his career, back in the 90s people said he looked capable of averaging 40+ in tests. Difference between a batsman who plays great innings and a great batsman.

interesting to see how respected Tikolo is here in this thread. In other threads here I've definitely seen implications he was a bit overrated by his status as simply the best of the worst - and that he'd have struggled to make other international sides.

So is the common concensus he could have averaged 40 in tests playing for a different country?
