Another loss coming up due to intransigence. The batting lineup is bad, just plain not very good. They needed to have dropped several players a while ago and give other people a chance. Secondly, given the bad and brittle nature of the batting lineup, they need an extra batsman every match and only need to go in with four bowlers. If your extra batsman can bowl a few, that’s great, but it is a rarity to have the 500 run vs 550 run games these days so pick the best four bowlers and work on YOUR WEAKNESS - which is clearly terrible and consistently terrible batting. Over the course of a series, you need to have a lot of bowlers and rotate them but for any individual game, just go in with four.

Hopefully this loss will mean some wholesale changes. This was India’s best chance to win in South Africa since readmission. Who knows what it will be the next time India tour.

SA have just batted and caught better tbh. I think we've broadly bowled well but naturally their attack has been better suited to the conditions. We needed to outbat them, which didn't happen, and seems like we either haven't placed our catching fielders well or just haven't had much luck with ball going to hand.

Keegan and Jansen are massive finds.
