it makes what SA were doing make a lot of sense tbh. if literally only pant can score any runs, then just completely block up his run scoring completely and rely on the tail to eventually dong one up in the air, even with limited exposure.

yeah like, just on a skill-based level - which, we should all remember, is kind of important as cricket is a fundamentally skill-based game - the bloke has elite, generational-level talent as far as picking the length of the ball goes. gets into position so, so early.
