Haha, surely it's too high this time.
Then it'll be plumb on average!Ebadot just needs an lbw against Latham that's missing offstump by 10cm, to collect the whole set.
Thought the same about the BayHayley. 4 or 5 years in, and not even a single seedling planted on the top of those embankments. Are the bloody mad?
**** I loved that original post. We should probably add it to the list of CW memes.one of those troll green wickets but basically a seamy road
Well I did list a bouncy road, slow road or turning road; for road that have a bit of movement. You could also have road with a bit seam movement (seamy road).
Over reaction. Depending on what you mean by these days, of course. And therefore what are those days. This may be a massive overreaction/oversimplification but umpires these days just give all sorts of **** out LBW huh
There are at least some pohutakawa seedlings at Bay Oval at top of banks.Thought the same about the BaySkin-cancerOval
Well yeah, in the old days it seemed to be all about ‘rules of thumb’. Balls knocking out middle weren’t given because the batsman ‘got a stride in’ whereas balls going 6 inches over the top were routinely given if a shot wasn’t played or the batsman was caught on the back foot.Over reaction. Depending on what you mean by these days, of course. And therefore what are those days.
Watch some old tests on YouTube prior to DRS, it was all over the place re: LBWs.
That's good to hear, although it will take years for them to grow. Would have preferred them to drop something in that's fast-growing.There are at least some pohutakawa seedlings at Bay Oval at top of banks.
Totally agree in regard to the Bay and Hagley. Can't beat the Basin can you - has it all.Hagley seem to think they've already reached their ideal finished product.
Both look awful places to spend 7 hours. But Mount will improve.
Good point, think he is very conscious of playing straight, as he should as opener. He's also in very good form. Will Young doesn't seem to play across his front pad anymore. Judged on this series and India series. Very parallel to the ball.
His strike rate is quite slow compared to his FC record previously. Obviously, increase in bowling quality at test level explains much, but also I wonder if he has made those adjustments and cut off some of his normal scoring shots that he used at FC level. Not criticism.
(Akso, being an opener and leaving the ball more ...)
