Do you remember which batsman was called back by Tim Zoehrer who admitted he had grassed it?
Tim proceeded to show up to the press conference with black eye apparently courtesy of a certain chap whose initials are AB. AB less than happy with the unecessary sportsmanship shown to the kiwis by Tim Z.
I do remember the occasion, but not who the batsman was, Crowe perhaps?
LOL Allan Border punching his team mate for good sportsmanship.

Just fascinated by what JR Reid could have been in a strong side and don’t want to pick Cairns.

I love how Wagner banging it in halfway down the pitch counts as "getting the length right". For every other bowler commentators say that when he pitches it up.

Bangladesh doing well. For those opening with Fleming he only did it on a handful of occasions and averaged 33. Did okay as an opener on the 2004 tour of England

Fleming has the lowest amount of centuries for a specialist batsman who played as many tests. The lowest by a distance iirc and you’d have to lower the bar to 90 tests and Ranatunga to find someone with a lower rate of making centuries and Arjuna batted lower down the order.

Given he obviously played innings of great flair in both moving and spinning conditions, he seriously underachieved, didn’t he?

Unusually consistent contributor then?

that was the consensus when he retired. he is remembered more for being a shrewd captain/tactician than an elegant batsman.

This is very good from Bangladesh - sure there's been a couple of edgy shots but in between times have been controlled and fairly disciplined.

Wagner NZ's best bowler by a stretch today.

Who bats 6 depends on what balance you want for the side - an all rounder for example. Or are you just assembling the best top 6 you could without considering having to bowl? In which case it could be any of Fleming, Jones etc - or do you ask an opener like Sutcliffe or Richardson to bat 6?
