Wasn’t there a stat a year or two ago that Nicholls was like by far the best batsman in the world against good length bowling? And he’s also been massively susceptible to getting out to bouncers. Flies in the face of the visual evidence but it’s a thing.

Nothing can dent one's confidence in Nicholls more than watching him make serious runs. People would believe in him a lot more if he got out early every time.
