Haha jokes on you then. Because he's not West Indian.

The third choice seamer for each all time XI would be:All AT XIs?
Who in their right mind would put James Anderson in the West Indies all time eleven?
Anderson only makes teams if he has the new ball. Would be a terrible 3rd seamer. The third choice seamer for each all time XI would be:
Garner
Waqar
Lindwall
Pollock
Southee
Zaheer/Srinath
Not Vaas
Anderson is roughly Southee level and way better than the ones below him but equally not a patch on the top half.
Like I said in a 5 man attack it would be Cairns. Anderson is a better bowler but obviously an inferior cricketer. The third choice seamer for each all time XI would be:
Garner
Waqar
Lindwall
Pollock
Southee
Zaheer/Srinath

Anderson averages 41.80 as a change (non-new ball) bowlerI think you may be a bit harsh on Anderson. Putting him behind Wagner, even as a change bowler, is a big call.
There are a loooot of caveats that need to be put on a stat like this.Anderson averages 41.80 as a change (non-new ball) bowler
can sort of see it justified if you're going for the "third bowler on your atg team should be an atg change bowler", but if you're doing "you pick the 3 top pacers regardless of if they'd ""compliment"" each other" then i can't justify it, but that's just my $20I think you may be a bit harsh on Anderson. I know. It was only 26 wickets and would've been when he was really young. Good stat nonetheless. There are a loooot of caveats that need to be put on a stat like this.
Fair enoughcan sort of see it justified if you're going for the "third bowler on your atg team should be an atg change bowler", but if you're doing "you pick the 3 top pacers regardless of if they'd ""compliment"" each other" then i can't justify it, but that's just my $20
I think most posters just pick the best 3 bowlers for these kind of teams.can sort of see it justified if you're going for the "third bowler on your atg team should be an atg change bowler", but if you're doing "you pick the 3 top pacers regardless of if they'd ""compliment"" each other" then i can't justify it, but that's just my $20
HadleeIf Shane Bond's body wasn't made of glass, Anderson definitely wouldn't make the NZ team either.
Hadlee is obviously one new ball bowler, Cairns bowls 1st change, and Wagner 2nd change. Vettori is the spinner.
Cowie, Bond, Southee, or Anderson? Tough one.
If Jamieson opens the bowling in years to come (did it 3 times this year), Anderson also looks less likely.
