3rd Test at Melbourne - December 26 - 30

Norwood's on Fire
Robinson will be fine if he gets a better attack leader as a role model tbh. I can imagine why he is mentally exhausted when the most senior one gets to go off the field for naps and showers after every spell.

scott boland drafted in as cover for Haze & Starc, the first is still injured, the latter is carrying a niggle.

"his Sheffield Shield form is outstanding. This season he's taken 15 wickets in two matches for Victoria at a phenomenal average of just 10."

He's a good chance to make his debut after Neser did not impress on debut and Starc is due for a rest.

Whatever it takes!!!
I got the feeling Starc also did his side than his back. If it is another side strain, its another 4 weeks off IMO. Will be surprised to see Haze or Starc play if they both have side strains, until the Hobart test.

I think England will do alright at MCG. Their decisions lacked common sense in the first two games. Not saying they would have won had they made the right calls.

Dermo Sabba Abbott obviously joyous at the arrival of his first born, but the timing could have been better

Yeah no ****ing way bolland suddenly skips out neser after a perfectly fine debut from the later. Bolland is just there as injury cover because both starc and haze are potentially not gonna play, and if both miss out we don't want a situation where we only have 3 pacers who can play in the squad.

Also, lawrence for pope, not YJB please. Lawrence absolutely dominated aus when the lions toured back in 2019, would back him to make big runs. Would be really amusing if the selectors tried to repeat the roy experiment but this time with bairstow, a 30-odd then bowled through the gate every innings is way better then burns atm.

Yeah, while just from what I've seen recently Boland possibly outshines Neser purely on bowling atm with a bit more penetration (hehe), it's nowhere near enough to justify leapfrogging him, not to mention the value Neser adds with batting too

Boland couldn't shine a shoe with a bucket of spit, an instruction manual and if you gave him a tin of Alex Hales's Kiwi brand facepaint.

Not sure what Boland will do at MCG. Jhye Neser & Cummins are probably more likely to succeed there. Last year Boxing day test pitch was superb & had a lot of pace n movement. Hazelwood is biggest miss for Australia here.

There's interesting case of Marnus & Mayank Agarwal.
Both scored away couple of 50's on their first Breakthrough tours.. Mayank in Australia & Marnus in England. Both bludgeoned bowling attacks in home conditions. Mayank got to play in NZ & Australia & only managed 1 50+ score in 4 tests. Marnus hasn't played any away tests since the bumper home season. Another case of flawed Ranking system.
