2nd Test at Adelaide - 16 to 20 Dec

Yeah his first couple of spells were fine but after England were 6 down he was terrible. He basically bowled in reverse - half-volleys in bright sunlight with a soft ball to Woakes, bodyline with the new pill under lights to #10 and #11.
in fairness the latter was clearly a team instruction, that was how the field was set. but it's really not his gig

Batting again is almost always the better strategy.
If this was a Day Test I'd agree batting on is 100% the correct move. But what happened here in 2017 means that Australia would have a lolapse in their minds, which I don't think would've happened in normal circumstances.

I still would be very surprised if England win. But they've kept the door (very) slightly ajar.

He's in the groove now and has the smell of test wickets, still find it insane that he didn't get a single wicket in the series
against India, If he can adjust his technique with batting and get a few big scores, he could lock in the number 6 spot for years.
He's been receiving batting lessons from Mr Ponting of late so let's hope that helps the young man.
His bowling has been way better this series. Actually bowling like a proper bowler, rather than as a shock bowler.

The same reason it was fine in 2017 applies here: Aus could completely **** the bed with the bat (as they did then) and still have plenty.

If England can knock off Warner, Labuschagne, and Smith early at least it will be slightly interesting. Would be good for Green to score some runs. He's certainly bowling well.

Yeah, the annoyance over 2017 is overblown (though granted it's mostly just stephen).

True that. Certainly would struggle to see England chasing 350 unless Stokes goes berzerk.
