1st Test at Brisbane, 8th-12th of December 2021

He seems the type who will work, he had a few faults early on and has worked on them unlike Bairstow who still has the same faults he had 10 years ago.
He knows he doesn't have the entire establishment cricket press covering for him if he makes a mistake, probably

Green quicker than Cummins and Haze but obviously nowhere near as accurate or effective.

Bit harsh, he seems the only Yorkshireman not mentioned in a bad way. In fact the only thing Yorkshire ever did right was giving him support with issues over his dad.

Yes he did that headbutt thing on the last ashes tour but nutting an Aussie is no bad thing.

I meant Hameed there, compared to Bairstow, on whose Test career I have made my thoughts very plain

This is an overly personality-based reply to Spark basically saying he has been a **** Test cricketer for ages who the media doesn't seem to criticise for his on-field performances.

Pretty sure Brettig of the Sydney Morning Herald thinks so.

"It has taken the Kookaburra a world away from the type of projectile hurled down, without much success, by England’s bowlers in the highly attritional 2017-18 Ashes. Combined with a damp La Nina summer, the adjustments made to the Australian Test match ball may well contribute to a closer series than many expect.

Certainly, it had an impact last summer, when India emerged victorious in a fascinating, twisting series that began with Australia obliterating the visitors inside three days in Adelaide. The likes of Mohammed Siraj were consistently able to extract life out of the pitch and the ball, much to the discomfort of Australia’s top order."

Well my thoughts on him are well documented, he shouldn't have been dropped when he was but he didn't do anything to regain his place by playing red ball cricket after that so should never have returned. The fact they are persevering with him shows how bad the other options are.

Isa seriously outnumbered by Aussies in that commentary box, that O Keefe fella is about as biased as they come too.
Dunno about this. Skull is just about the only one who bothers to research the opposition or exhibits any sign of having watched cricket when Australia aren't involved. I've never noticed him to be particularly biased compared to the other cheerleaders involved in Australian cricket commentary over the years
