I know we are randomly brilliant at chasing totals in tests and the pitch appears to not be deteriorating as quickly as feared, but this feels like a bridge too far at Galle. Think this innings by DDS will be the difference.

At the moment, the field settings and the body language of the WI communicate only one message - " We have given up". Very familiar scenario as expected of teams at the bottom of the table - can't play 2-3 sessions of good cricket at one go.

He seems to have found his feet a bit in his last dozen tests. Some scores against strong and attacks to go with the ones against the weaker attacks.

Yeah the difference between the 2 sides in this series will probably be the 2 centuries. Sril Lanka has some test class batsmen, particularly when at home, we don;t. Harsh but fair.

Sri Lankan players of late seem to pull these brilliant rescue acts out of nowhere. Chandimal v India, Kusal v SA and now DDS.

I wanna see if the other Karunaratne can play tests. He would solve so many of their balance issues alongside DDS and Shanaka, if all 3 play. Even better if they can get Hasaranga into the test set up. A 5-8 of those 4 would be amazingly good core for all conditions and al formats.
