Whatever it takes!!!
I think between reasonably evenly matched sides, the toss will be the clincher. Many teams would curbstomp the other if the toss goes their way and they dont actually produce any poor plays.

As someone who doesn't usually care about T20 but cares slightly about this tournament, I think I'm just realising that I'm not as confident about this line-up as I have been about our test and ODI line-ups over the last couple of years. Not sure if that's a legit thing or just my general negativity kicking in.

Kinda hoping Pakistan just Pakistan and implode somehow after their highs of beating India. Really hoping this is the XI

Guptill
Conway
KW
Phillips
Neesham
Seifert
Chapman
Santner
Sodhi
Ferguson
Boult

Although I'm sure they'll find away for Southee to fit in there.

Definitely our weakest format, and the selections aren't as on-point in this format either ... and still seems like a pretty unsettled line-up, not really sure what the strongest side is.

Not really expecting us to make the semis this time, but hopefully we surprise.

Good side but I'd like Mitchell for Chapman

Can see India vs New Zealand being a knockout game, expecting Pakistan to be too good in home conditions.

Not to forget that Afghanistan’s bowling could be a difficult prospect if they put runs on the board.

NZ's best chance is PAK likely on an adrenaline high from the other night and doing the flip side of their mercurial act.

That's a real shame for Ferguson, I reckon he would have been one of the best quicks in the tournament.

Milne is a ridiculously good replacement to be able to bring in though. Should probably go straight into the team in Lockie's spot.

Nz's chances just dropped majorly with fergo gone, bowling doesn't look nearly as good as it did. How the **** does nortje manage to stay on the park so much compared to guys like archer, fergo and wood.

Ferguson. Nooo
Big game for Southee. I would've put Milne straight into the XI assuming full fitness etc.

Edit: Milne can only come in once it is ratified by ICC technical committee.

Probably should have been in the team anyway, so it's a bit of a no brainer imo.

Mitchell opening and Seifert completely wasting a spot batting 7

I will try not to go on about this all tournament, but it’s ludicrous that we dumped Munro so that Mitchell could open
Yeah dumping Munro for Conway or Allen would have been defensible, but Mitchell as an opener is so weird.

What’s the story with the willingness/ability of Phillips or Conway to keep?

The only pretence behind Seifert playing is him being an opener. If he’s batting 7 then he’s just completely wasting a spot while we choose to weaken our bowling.
