Given RSA's history and the recent findings about CSA and the team, I can totally understand why CSA wanted a single unified gesture. QdK not taking the knee is fine but he should have accepted to at least put the fist up or some other gesture that the rest of the team can all do. Him not being willing to do any of the gestures means he has some explaining to do. This is not a good look for QdK.

On the game itself, quietly think RSA can get this. And yeah, I know I said De Kock should have at least put his fist up.
he looks like a racist. not much more needs to be said here. explain your reasoning or call it quits tbh.

Have to questoin the fairness of the on-field umpiring there. How on earth was the catch earlier given out as a soft signal and yet that was not out? Thank goodness justice prevailed.
Reiffel called the first one and Dar the second. So it wasn't the same umpire being inconsistent, but I don't know how you solve that.

WI could've been SF contenders and even potential winners if they turned up. Lose this and they could get routed.

How will they remain competitive if Gayle, Pollard, Russell, and Bravo all move on after this series?

Lewis, Pooran and Hetmeyer are fine, but are there three other good T20 bats under the age of 30?

I'm sorry but this West Indian team would be okay 5 years ago, not now. They are all dinosaurs in a rapidly changing format.

Trying not to go ott but Markram is a ridiculous talent. Honestly this guy is so good. To me he flies under the radar a bit, but has everything to be one of the ATG's
He has been immense in T20Is but a wasted talent in other formats so far. If he gets his **** right, yeah, he will be some player.

WTF is a super 12 six?

DFL maximum is the worst term I have ever heard in cricket, and I reckon this has it beat.

He's been a monster in domestic cricket in all formats, so he definitely appears to have what it takes, which has made him a bit frustrating for South African fans. But yeah, will definitely be some player if he can get it right.

Since foreshortening is a given in these situations, it's high time umpires stop mucking about and just look at finger positioning and overall control. Unless the ball's landed blatantly short there's no point giving batsmen the benefit.
Exactly. The ball either bounces or it doesn’t. If the fingers are under it just give it imo

It is good to see him come good. Fantastic player that has struggled at times. Very hard on himself. Hopefully we now see him dominate across formats for the next good few years.

I thought they might have one more WC win in them but alas it just won't happen. A combination of things from the opposition playing really well, to this ridiculous Gayle at 3 to accomodate Simmons who is awful thing, means we just look ordinary. We have a look of a side full of superstars that are past their best.

I also think Dubai is basically our kryptonite. Huge boundaries, slow pitch, rewards teams that rotate the strike, which we are woeful at.

For the rest of the tournament just put Gayle to open, get rid of Simmons and play aggressively. Might not work, but it's our best bet with this lineup.
