Well we'll likely have 3 debutants tonight. When was the last time we had 3 debutants? I don't have a problem with the team selected, it's a god send to see how strong our bench strength is in overseas conditions. If we get to pick 2-3 players for future for this format, job is done. It'd be nice to get some win under too 8-)

Hesson rates Ravindra and Sears quite highly.

Going by that I'm going to go with the below team... I'm hoping I'm close to it. If you'd rather have Latham's presence in the middle order then Ravindra opens and Latham comes at no.4 with Young at no.3

The NZ lineup is definitely light on top order batting in Allen’s absence. The likely XI seems more suited to a slow/low pitch though Bangladesh wouldn’t mind that at all.

Player workload / injury recovery. Conway went to England in May for Eng v NZ test series and WTC final, then stayed for English domestic T20 and Hundred. Injured part way through the Hundred.

IIRC the other NZers in T20I World Cup squad but not in IPL (Astle, Chapman, Guptill, Mitchell, Sodhi) are joining for the Pakistan leg of the Bangladesh / Pakistan T20I-ODI-T20I tour.

You shouldn't be getting a ball that bounces like that in the third over of a t20, tbh ... that's fifth day test match stuff.

Yeah this ball is all over the place. Skidding and gripping. Never had much hope for this tour to be fair
