I don’t think his bowling is terrible but playing the first two tests ahead of Overton looks really bad now. Especially with Overton contributing a bit with the bat.

I think he's definitely a good shorter form option, T20s in particular, but I just can't see him taking wickets against patient or set batters regularly. He doesn't have height or pace, and if it's not swinging significantly, he can be lined up.

Yeah, Curran has kept his place in this series so far pretty much by default due to all the missing quicks. Hoping Woakes can finally be fit for the next one and slot in as a direct replacement.

Well if he continues batting on and on for 150 and beyond you really can't drop him in good conscience. Maybe he'll fix whatever's wrong on the fly out there.

I mean I know you're joking but even though he's been terrible recently, getting a batsman with 6000 test runs back in form aint a great idea. He needs a few more of these kind of innings before we really think of him being close to vintage pujara though.

Maybe Pujara should be fed leg stump half-volleys exclusively in the dug out before he comes out to bat. Those Anderson freebies early on seem to have worked well for him.
