Whatever it takes!!!
That’s genuinely inept. Can’t believe the lack of application and adaptability here
Well, they refused to pick a side for the conditions first. And almost every wicket is off a ball most test sides will not lose wickets to. Just think this side gets way too hungover after wins.

pant had 10 fielders inside the ring when he was batting

why try nudging it when he just steps out and usually smashed it in australia and india this year

Just as likely to nick off that way too.

The answer is that Jaddu should always bat ahead of Pant. Pant with this tail will at least give him clarity on how to bat.

In 2017 if you'd shown me the Indian squad list and told me Rohit Sharma, test opener, would be India's best batsman by a distance on a 2021 tour to England I'd have laughed at you.

edit - forgot rahul, but same applies tbh

What an embarrassment of a batting line-up.

India need to understand that when Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Shami out bat the top order, this is a massive problem and means the top-order are batting below domestic standard! Pujara, Rahane and Kohli have been genuinely embarrassing.

I thought before the start of the match that India winning by an innings inside 4 days was worth a punt. If we can conjure that from here it would be a tad disappointing, but not 100% surprising. :tooth:

I am genuinely surprised there aren't many sub-par scores with this batting line-up. Middle order has been dross for a while now and on top of that we've been going with a longish tail for quite a while. And to have Shami bat at 8 is taking it too far.
