21 year old Mohammad Naim is an interesting one. Has good numbers from a much bigger sample size than Joy:

And his scores in T20 internationals are very encouraging, both home and away:

Wonder why he doesn't play more ODIs?

Yeah the averages are fine but for someone who's played so few games I'd probably want them to be Moses-esque. Else I'd pick Tushar.

I remember reading in the paper when I was in Dhaka last year that he'd been dropped from his domestic side after failing the minimum beep test requirement. The requirement was something paltry like 9.0 or something as well - a score my sportier classmates were able to get when we were 13 years old. Even I managed a 7.something back then.

Haha that's absolutely awful but they don't add runs to your total for doing better than my chubby 16 year old self on the beep test.

Dunno, I'd say aerobic fitness has a massive effect on batting. These Tamim, Shakib types would have much better numbers if they'd been even half as fit as Western cricketers over the years. It's pretty pathetic how most of them look like they're on their last legs after they get to about 80 odd.

If you've ever seen the Bangladesh team hanging out together, it's evident most of them are chain smokers. I saw Mortaza chug down at least half a dozen cigs at a dinner do once. It's so bad.

He married his cousin and had a kid with her then he stopped communicating with her. His wife came to media and complained about all these
I would dearly like him to settle that dispute amicably and get on with things, because he times the ball better than almost everyone else and a less turbulent domestic situation in the Hossain household could make the post Tamim/Shakib/Mushfiq/Mahmudullah period a lot less less painful.

Oh yeah definitely. But Tushar scores the runs anyway.

If he averages 60 but can't run he might have averaged 75 if he could run, but as he is he's still better than the bloke who averaged 38.

If anything it just shows what an amazing talent he really is.

It was long time ago though. Also his case is more troublesome than what I remember
