It’s a good thing we haven’t been denied an amazing contest because it doesn’t rain in England in June.

Wait what's the difference here?I think there is an argument for having unlimited reserve days, but timeless tests I disagree with
Still finishes within 5 days/scheduled time with reserve days - so could be a drawWait what's the difference here?
With reserve days you don't get to use the reserve day to get to a result if the whole 5 days play has been completed.Wait what's the difference here?
I think it's pretty cool. A further reward for the finalists. They also get to say that they were part of a timeless test unlike the plebs they massacred to get here. What's the point in having a test championship involving 5 day tests and then making the final a timeless test which is completely different and would involve different strategies. I think there is an argument for having unlimited reserve days, but timeless tests I disagree with
And BJ Watling will start cancelling his retirement plans.Hope Pujara isn't reading this forum. Be creaming his pants at all this talk of timeless Tests
Minimum number of overs, not a maximum. As opposed to a timeless test, just make it a max of 450 overs (5 days of 90 overs) and however long it takes to play it?
Last day of test cricket for the great man. Hope he’s not required with the bat unless it’s to hit the winning runs. And BJ Watling will start cancelling his retirement plans.
Because it's not a final...the fact that there is a reserve day at all is already pretty unusual. You already don't have that in regular Test cricket.
Good. Just like this.I put NZ as favourites here. I'm just not seeing a draw happening. I think this will move quickly and there'll be lots of wickets today.
Yeah yeah yeah.I put NZ as favourites here. I'm just not seeing a draw happening. I think this will move quickly and there'll be lots of wickets today.
Yeah I think they will set something awkward but not good like 170 and we will have to force it in testing conditions. This will create wickets.Assuming we get all 98 overs in, India's best chance IMO is if they get bowled out simply because I couldn't see them dangling the carrot risking a declaration that will give them a viable chance.
