Stumped!

Magrat Garlick

Rather Mad Witch
Part of me wonders why Grubs could never do this for me, though a) much worse attack and wicketkeeper than he normally played against and b) he did have a few nice innings in between his overall 23 average

He's also at the peak of his skills now, while at Dynamo he was still developing.

I've usually got him playing on 4 aggression, if that helps.

On track here for his first ever century. Hope he gets it!

Inexperienced attack!
Overall bowling quality of 6 so far isn't too bad actually. I think your field settings might be a bit too attacking. A missed stumping + 16 wides doesn't help either.

just as you post this Grubs is out bowled for 84! Attacking shot to a good ball while we were already racing at 6.52 an over. Kinda wished he just stuck in there and grinded out his century.

Equals his career highest score, and is his newest high score in the Dev format and in ZCC colours. So not too bad.

Halliday in. He only plays one way, let's see if he can go big.

Ed Halliday in Dev Friendlies before today - 11 innings, 68 runs in 135 balls, 4 fours and 3 sixes. HS of 29.

Today - 24* off 14, 3 sixes.

Hit a career highest 43 of 12 vs the Wombats in our last CWC game. Bit of an all-or-nothing player, hoping he has a good innings here today.

EDIT: NVM, he's out for 28 off 16. Fun while it lasted. Jamal Madani in now. He was basically our version of Todii Mthombeni, has only just started coming into his own as a keeper/bat. Career batting average still in the single digits with a HS of 29*.

Yea he's just starting to hit his stride as well, and about time.

Actually has 20 fielding potential too, currently on 9 skill. Reckon he might be good enough to snag an ODI cap or two in his mid-20s.

305/4 it is! Massive score.

Danial Ahsan was dropped on 98 in the 38th over, and brought up his century a few balls later. First ever Dev cricket ton for him, 2nd in his career, both of which have come in the space of 3 days. Fantastic from the 19 year old. Ends on 106* off 79 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. Good signs heading into CWC3.

Madani was dropped in the 38th over as well, finished on 30* off 23 balls. His career highest score in any format, brought it up for a 4 on the final ball of the innings. Together him an Ahsan added 108 for the 5th wicket in just 66 balls.

Hope the TMO batters put up a fight and force us to bowl our full 40 overs. Ahsan's going to be knackered, will be interesting to see how he bowls. Has a 2 over spell in the powerplay, then 2 more in the middle of the innings, and then bowls 3 right at the end to close the game. He'll be hoping he won't be needed for that 3rd spell.

Really bright start by TMO - 54/0 in 8 overs! Batting only gets easier from here on in. We might have a game on our hands here.

Madani misses a chance to stump Reid in 10th over off his skipper's bowling, and the Chester drops him in the infield in the 14th over off star-seamer Sampath. Oof. That could be costly.

Left-arm leggie Livpreet breaks a strong opening partnership at the end of the 15th over by bowling Jalal Farhat off the inside edge. Wicket-maiden, ends a really good first spell from him. 91/1 in 15 overs.

Reid sends Sampath off to fine leg with a 6 and a 4 in the seamer's final over! 6 overs for 31 runs from our star quick with the new pill in friendly conditions. Hasn't bowled badly - did have a catch dropped - but those are less than ideal returns. He'll have a chance to redeem himself in the 37th and 39th overs. TMO did very well to see him off, Nathan Reid in particular. He's on 62 off just 58 and TMO are 102/1 in 16, needing 8.5 RPO from here on in to win. Not impossible with a lot of overs of spin to come, along with 4 from 16-yo seamer Bashir and 5 from the exhausted Danial Ahsan. Do the Orangutans have the batting depth to cash in on this great platform?

lol literally as a I type Tim Chester has Davidson caught in the deep with his 4th ball. Tyagi off the mark with a boundary, this could be the key partnership.

Bashir gets the breakthrough! Reid bowled off the inside edge as well, another wicket-maiden for ZCC. 3 wickets in the last four overs, it seems like @StephenZA's return from work has triggered a bit of a collapse :P

Madani has had a shocker keeping wicket to his captain today - missed a stumping, dropped a catch, and has now fumbled two takes down the leg side resulting in 5 wides each time!

TMO not out of this yet - 160/4 in 24 overs with Hetal Tyagi looking dangerous on 30* off 26. No doubt looking to get some revenge for all the tap he took with the ball.

nvm, is bowled by Abdul Younis two balls later. RRR 9.2 now, that should be the game.
