Stumped!

Not really blasting but Nishad got some boundaries (currently on 25* off 19) and anything 200+ is usually enough in DEV.

Kotze threw his wicket away again ofc, somehow missing a fairly straight one from a medium pacer at the stumps!

McCormack's overthrows will come but hopefully less impactful than the runouts and good fielding events

this is a bit of a paddlin'

edit: AtaraXIa all out 83, lost by 174 runs. The Sharif (Alam) taking four wickets in his two long spells and Fouche jr. rounding off by getting Dee out plumb and Chambers bowled through a gate wider than that of Branderburger Tor.

Maybe I should have bowled first? :ph34r?

Well Free HK won the last match of the unending T20 Challengers league. I don't think it matters for our log position (we finished 13/18 which I think was about where experts had us). Neither of us have scored many runs (4076 for Dynamo, 4288 for FHK) which suggests we're doing something wrong with our batting orders in T20. Even ZCC, who on paper has the ruthless Shkorer, D Estandau, Furqan, Yattack axis, has had pretty low totals.

We have to consider Stumped's match engine is set for nearly a decade ago - scoring rates and average totals in limited overs cricket were not as high as they are now. Stumped's also got slightly more run-outs than usual, which means teams lose more wickets than they normally would too.

Yeah I don't disagree but I was considering it relative to the other teams in the league. Only ZCC is really in the same league as the teams surrounding them. If I hadn't bought Economical Saleem I probably would have ended behind rajshahi.

meanwhile my wonky batting order meant that van Heerdens (55 not out) and Mthabela (48) put on a cool 104 off 16 overs for the 8th wicket, dragging us to a respectable 239 against the bot. Of the youngsters who needed batting practice, Ralph Arnold probably came out the best, prodding his way to 21 off 66 balls.

Around the grounds MTO are doing very well against their bot (Jeroen Viljoen and Alonso Kock the stars so far) while ZCC are somehow making a hash of chasing 175 on a fairly placid wicket.

The second placed team in my league are probably going down, which means I should have a 1-2 point advantage in the battle for 2nd ahead of our head to head clash in the last round.

Romped home by 8 wickets and have taken 3rd place in the process. One more win and we could be looking at some useful prize money in the off season. Need it the way our finances have been of late.

@honestbharani seems to be finally setting orders for his games and is hanging in there in a strong Div 3. Should be interesting to see how the CWC2 game between the Hunks and FHK goes tomorrow. We'll be putting out our youngest XI, including two youth we might be looking to sell.

Huge win for FHK overnight. Beat the 3rd place Kandor Kings away from home, in conditions that are almost the polar opposite of the 5DNOL stadium

Puts us in 6th place on 29 points, only behind 7th place on NRR. They play the 1st placed team next week while we play the last placed one. If results go as expected we should be safe from relegation, but cricket is a funny game...

The youngest FHK XI are struggling. 109 not enough runs. Gonna take something special to prevent the upset!
