If he hadn't been a creep then he'd definitely still be working for Sky. Gary Neville would be running hotels and Jamie Carragher would be spitting at people full-time.
The only way to lose a commentary job is to ***ually harass someone or die. It doesn't matter how unpopular you are. Even abusing the disabled won't do it. It's why even though everything else about TV coverage gradually improves over time, but commentary stays the same or gets worse.

Disagree with Uppercut here, think Sky care about the younger cash-laden demo so they wanted to change Gray and Keys for people that will attract the ad-buyers, if they didn't want them out, those tapes would have remained hidden, as they had done for years.
See also the changes at Soccer Saturday, and even Talksport (a newscom thing) has an actual youngish female presenter at brekkie sometimes rather than Alan Brazil every day blathering on about the old days and how modern football is rubbish compared to it.
Anyway, as much as I relish negativity, wouldn't this have been better just being a general commentary thread, so there isn't just slating. I don't mind Ian Danter on Talksport, but matt Holland makes me angry for no fault of his own, that he sounds just like Andy Townsend, which makes me irrationally angry.
