*Official* New Zealand in England 2021

Pitch is flat, very easy paced, and we look very flat. Have gone past the edge a few times but in general we haven't looked very threatening. Going to be a long couple of days in the field here I think. Good toss for England to win.

Very good session for England. We knew it was going to be flat track.

Refreshing to see jazz bowl. No turn yet but it'll turn no doubt.

Nice tight lines from Ajaz, very refreshing after Santner’s usual load of rubbish. If we go with a spinner in the final it has to be Ajaz.

Not Terrible
The Ajaz selection would feel a lot more comfortable if Jamieson was playing. Wagner with the worlds largest nose bleed at 8.

I don't think we were quite as bad as some NZ fans are making out, it was a mixed bag - some bowlers' lengths weren't consistent enough, though at least kept control of the scoring rate.

Selecting Henry instead of Jamieson was still ****ing dumb of course, needed an extra threat.

England's highest opening stand in the first innings of a home test since 2009 apparently. That one eventually put on 196. Other interesting facts from cricinfo are that both batsmen were born in Epsom, and that they both have a highest test score of 133 (albeit unbeaten in Sibley's case).
