I remember when DK took 3/8 off 8 vs Pakistan in the Lilac Hill game in 1999. His son took a blinder off him at fine leg too.

Terrible response. The plainly better one would have been “Shame he couldn’t do it when he went to Pakistan”, but you’re a bit dim for that, I suppose

Lily played 70 tests with a bowling average of 24 and a SR of 52. Ishant 2.0 has already played 48 tests since 2014. His bowling average being 26 and SR 53.

Poor, tender Lily was too fragile to suffer the rigor of subcontinent and Caribbeans. Ishant has manfully plied his trade *everywhere*.

I love Dennis Lillee, and I really wish he had played more games in Asia/Carribean. He would have found a way to succeed with the tools he had. Too bad he just played five games in those conditions. It really is a question mark on how he had gone down in history if he had played more games in unfriendly conditions. As a fan I think he would have done well, but the fact is that he simply wasn't tested in those conditions. This puts him behind a lot of guys who were reliable in an array of conditions.

Imagine an Asian spinner bowling just in Asia, or someone like Sehwag batting just in Asian conditions, the numbers would be crazy.

I don’t think even the most deranged Lillee skeptic would doubt his ability to bowl in the Caribbean even if it’s not proven. It’s just the sub continent that sends a few people reaching for the mogadons.

Lillie never won a major tournament with Australia also, Ishant have a massive spell in a game changing spell in champions trophy final.
