That's ridiculous. By that logic anyone who catches the ball on the run and throws it in the air in celebration while still running (which happens all the time) was not in control of the ball and it wasn't a catch. The ball can touch the ground if he's in control, but IMO he's not as he's still moving.
they're cheating and hurling balls at batters to intimidate them, that's whatWhat happen with the new zealand players i am not watching
Gibbs dropped the world cup in similar fashionThat's ridiculous. By that logic anyone who catches the ball on the run and throws it in the air in celebration while still running (which happens all the time) was not in control of the ball and it wasn't a catch.
To clarify, by moving I mean he's not in control of his movement. E.g he's unable to stop the ball from touching the ground, or from his person going over the boundary. That's ridiculous. Well I think we can all get on board with this interpretation. To clarify, by moving I mean he's not in control of his movement. E.g he's unable to stop the ball from touching the ground, or from his person going over the boundary.
With the logic we have of just needing to take the catch, Trent Boult's catch in the world cup final should have counted too. He had the ball under control before hitting the boundary.
Come off it, we're NZ. If we are throwing balls at people they probably deserve itthey're cheating and hurling balls at batters to intimidate them, that's what
They beat Scotland in Nelson in the 2015 CWC.I dont think bangladesh have ever won a match in new zealand
You're comparing apples and oranges. The fielder touching the boundary with ball in hand is always counted as a boundary regardless of what happened before it. If the fielder catches the ball and is perfectly still and in control, therefore has taken the catch, but then runs over the boundary, it would still be a boundary not a catch. To clarify, by moving I mean he's not in control of his movement. E.g he's unable to stop the ball from touching the ground, or from his person going over the boundary.
