Yes he is okayed now, he starts practices but his manager not yet happy, it will take time.

Jos's genius won England the game and made it look a lot easier than it really should have been, IMO. He was a class apart today, just like Virat in the first innings.

I think a few key moments that cost us the game were Hardik being so out of touch at the death, could have easily added another 15 to the final total and that could have made all the difference. Then with the ball, the 2nd overs of Chahal and Thakur were extremely poor inside the powerplay. Have no idea why we simply dont open with Bhuvi and Washy every time. Then again, Pandya's bouncer at Malan was very ill timed and ill advised. 2 previous overs had only gone for 4 each and there was some sort of momentum being built up by the bowling side, as that over had only gone for 4 too in the first 5 balls. Pandya is trying to look too cool out there, it may well be his general mannerism but I get the feeling he is trying too hard to take it a bit too easy, if that makes sense.

We should get Axar and SKY in next game for Rahul and Chahal. I would be tempted to rest Rishabh and see if I can get in Tewatia too. You need the 6 bowling options over here and I still think spin will be the issue for England this series. Jos bossing the chase has made it hard for India to comeback, but that was the case in our previous two test series as well. I think this team will come back, so lets see.

nah this game was lost when we were going at less than 6rpo after 10. England's pace at the start of the innings unsettled us especially also keeping in mind that these are not the usual pattas that get rolled out for t20s in India generally. England would have chased down 190 too imo, we don't have whom i consider to be our 2 best bowlers in this format to stop them chasing these middling totals.

I think I posted that we could win with 160-170. Would have been better had we had Axar as well, as its clear that England are not comfortable against spin, and playing with 5 bowling options and one of them being Hardik is asking for trouble. But even given all that, I thought we had a decent shout had we gotten 165, which I thought was par there on this track.

For the next game, I would like to see Rahul, Chahal and Pant rested and we should play SKY, Tewatia and Axar instead of them.

I hate to say that but Chahal is getting the longer rope for being Kohli's pet.

I am not saying Chahal should be dropped or whatever, all players should be given a longer rope so that there's no insecurity and people are given enough chances before they are written off. But Kohli defends some players while others are just quickly replaced if there are a couple of bad performances.

I don't care if we go through a string of loses as long as we get rid of the captaincy/selection mess we are in with Kohli and Shastri. We have the players to win games, just getting the basics rights will be enough. But Panauti can't do that either. Wish his captaincy/selection was 10% as good as his batting.

Also, Ashwin needs to play the next ODI WC, he has evolved with every ****ing game, he'll be an asset in white ball cricket. Ashwin+Jaddu in white ball cricket will be a deadly combination. Kohli thinks he is not needed in the team

i expected a lot from this series looking at the squad that was selected and i must say only Kishan's innings is what i would consider as a positive, apart from lolhi returning to form. with 2 games to go i would have wanted to see more of Tewatia, SKY and Varun C but 2 of them got binned for fitness reasons and Kishan himself was demoted for no reason yday.

Yeah, the selectors gave a very good squad but management seems to have chosen that they will die on the hill of incumbancy etc. They let Shaw play the first test in Australia, Rahul here and so on. AS long as they can be consistent, it is fine I suppose. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Think we have to try out the side I posted tomorrow.

Rahul Chahar is a quick through the air leggie... Dude even changed his run up in IPl midway &, picked wickets. Some 21-22 year old instead of a 30+ chahal. Better fielder, can hold the bat as well. Stays economical. Should get to play next match on merit.
Chahal should not be anywhere near.. I'd say.
Kuldeep, Bishnoi are better options to be kept in loop.
Also perhaps drop Shreyas to take a look at Tewatia as sixth bowling option. He can tonk a few.
Don't think VK will take rest so how fitting Rahul Rohit Kishan in same XI is unrealistic.
Rahul should make way I think.. For perhaps SKY
