Probably been discussed on previous pages, but is the pitch really that bad?
From the admittedly small passages I've seen there's not much variable bounce; it just looks like a standard turner to me. Without variable bounce, they should be handling it better than this.

There's variable bounce for sure but the main thing is that there's absolutely no consistency at all in what balls will do. Some will spin and bounce miles, some will do nothing at all. Makes it close to impossible to play.
The batting has been pits though.
