*Official* 3rd Test at the Sardar Patel Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, 24 - 28 Feb 2021

WTC slipping away by the over. India these days look incapable of posting a big score in a Test match so as England creep to and beyond 300 I fear it will become out of reach. Such a shame. Hopefully the bowlers can pull it back somehow but as always, I'm sceptical.
That's really pessimistic tbh. The England 8-11 is dire, they have Archer coming in at 8!

Nope not a single mention.

Indian comms are so horribly biased. Always the worst thing about playing yous.
TBH, I feel the Indian commentators are more India centric than India-biased. Its not like the post noughties C9 crowd who were actually and obviously biased.

And Gavaskar did not moan about umpire's call when it saved Crawley either.

You can be sure there's a few theplas sneaked into the ground. Gujjus never leave home without a few rolled up their sleeves.
Gujju families carry about 15 varieties of savouries, preserved snacks and sweets for a ****ing train journey.

Yeah, leaving aside the politics, a pretty shameful attempt at self-propaganda.

I wish I could tell you this is a first or there is another party in India who won't have done this, but unfortunately, I cannot. That is just how we Indians roll these days. :(
It does seem like the government is increasingly trying to co-opt the cricket team as part of its broader propaganda campaign, which Isn't Great to say the least.

Isn't great is quite the understatement (deliberate I know)

Nah, I did not want to comment on the crap that Haigh wrote in the politics thread as it does not interest me, but make no mistake, it was absolute unadulterated crap, as is often the case when Haigh writes about stuff he has NFI of.

This is far from unique to India. Everyone’s are the same. The pretence that the Sky crew are somewhat objective is laughable.
