I think after this Test Ashwin might just bat ahead of him regardless though. More runs than Rahane this series.

To add to those 29 five wicket hauls for Ashwin, he has 4 test hundreds. Among all bowlers in history with more 5 wicket hauls, Hadlee has 2 hundreds, Kumble has 1. No one else has a ton.

Should put up some insane numbers by the time he retires.

I wish we give a left handed opening partner to Rohit just to put off the line and length of the oppn bowlers..
Why not play Sundar as opener? he may score more than our traditional openers and he can bowl some offspin to give rest to Ashwin..

Surely it cant be difficult to define zones differently for bowlers completing their action versus other players involved in the game.

Yeah usually his main shot is the flat-batted cover drive, but for obvious reasons he's put that away. The sweep is the logical alternative to those sorts of deliveries.
