Well, if it's a bunsen, these are the kind of pitches where people expect India to dominate on but instead they get rolled. And axar is rubbish, the idea that he's the answer is dumb... Not quite sure what the selectors see in him.
Hmm just saw a video of him bowling in the nets, he looks worse than even Sundar! Should just go in with the two leggies.

And its true that India doesn't have a flawless record on bunsens but with Kohli's toss almost pre-decided India can't afford to play on an initially flat wicket again, so bunsen is only option. Do or die.

There has been insane level of demand for the tickets to the test match with record queues! People had to wait upto 6 hrs to pickup the tickets they purchased online.

So crowd could play a role too. Playing spin with home crowd cheering and roaring just adds to your nerves and the whole drama. I am sure some English batsmen will find it tougher to bat than the 1st Test!

Whatever it takes!!!
Our Lord is beating him for pace and movement there in that clip. In a surprise twist, we get Shardul in for Nadeem and he wins us the test. :)

I hope we see some more of Shardul , he reminded me a little of KING PRAVEEN, probably not good enough long term but a hugely fun cricketer and all round top bloke.

For the Indian posters, the Siraj grabbing Kuldeep story what is this all about? Just 2 lads in a foul mood at the time and nothing more or something more serious?

I don't know if either are considered troublesome behind the scenes.

Basically the speculation is that based on sample sizes and population density, cities like Mumbai and Chennai (and perhaps Delhi) have reached herd immunity but it is still speculation even if it is based on numbers.

A community can only achieve herd immunity through a very large percentage of those vulnerable to it either dying or developing immunity to it through previous exposure.

I'm not sure how possible herd immunity even is with a new virus that people can and have been infected with more than once and isn't fatal in the vast majority of cases.

It is a strange virus but I think the reinfection rate has so far, at least from what data is known, seems to be negligible. And you can achieve herd immunity to non-fatal infections too. Of course, it does not mean we have achieved it but I wont be surprised if more than 50% of the city populations in our metros have not already had it and developed antibodies etc.

Back to the test, I think it's crazy to not play Anderson on a pitch which is looking like being very dry and abrasive, and would be looking to win here and rest him for the third test.

Clumsy point from me, but got to pick Jimmy after the last match and then reassess.

Not sure Burgey will be upset if he leads the bowling in Australia tbf:D
Yes I do get where you’re coming from, and who knows with the injury to Archer it does give the option for flexible thinking. Personally, I’d rest him and keep him available for the last two and the potentially massive workload ahead this year.

I like the 12 for the second Test....hoping Stone gets the nod, surprised to see Moeen get the nod ahead of Bess but if he’s anywhere near his old best I think he’s a better option. Bess is developing and I’m sure they’ve pre-empted an inevitable mauling if he bowled how he has done in recent times despite his impressive stats.
