Shows how valuable Pujara is to India. Quite a boring player but a match winning player. Other than Pujara rest of the Indian players batted like they were in a one day international. It's not criticism but it's just the tempo with which they bat. India needs another Pujara in the line up.

Told you guys, underestimate England at your own risk. This is not Atherton, Stewart, Irani, Ealham side who are just spectators and crib about pitch being too slow, the current England side are here to win and they made it clear today.

Now wear that badge of 227 run loss or pay teen guna lagaan. :p

The test match was lost on 2nd day.
Shouldn't have allowed them to score 578 after 263/3. Should have tried to restrict them to 450. And India's 1st innings was also very poor. Should have scored minimum 450 .

England's mistake last series was to not grind India to oblivion with the multiple chances that they had throughout the series. This time, Root has made it a point to score 600 when you get going. India lost this game in the first innings imo. They score 450 in return and this match probably never sees a result.

Agree, this England team is legit. They've got a great balance of experienced players in prime form (Root, Stokes, Anderson) with some younger players who have bedded in over the last 12-18 months, and who look assured at this level (Sibley, Crawley, Bess, Pope)

I think England will stay grounded (Silverwood and Root give off a low-key calm demeanour), and realise that India will come back hard at them in the next test. You could see that there were no histrionics or over the top celebrations - they're well aware that the hard work starts now
