Yep. Leach especially has really done the job when needed.

Admittedly our entire strategy this winter does seem to depend on Root scoring a double century every match but hey it is ridiculously fun while it lasts.

Amazing win from England, totally outplayed... dont think India did too much wrong apart from the Nadeem selection. Root clearly the difference, going to be interesting to see how the spinners change it up against him now because he looked scarily in control.

Not just that but the fact he has done it 3 games in a row now shows he has the hunger and form to go again. Not saying he will repeat it next week but nobody would be surprised if he tons up again before the end of the series.

besides, you’d get there then “rest” nine players.

SA are pish. We’re ordinary mind you, but they’re rubbish. Would be hilarious to go to Lords with the worst middle order since the 80s and win by an innings, which is what would happen.

My hope before the match started was that England play to their potential.

They have definitely done that.

Lucky with the toss, this is true, but still a tremendous performance all round.

Silverwood getting the best out of them.

Feels like our best victory under Root (although I haven't too hard about the other wins).

Took the dog out at drinks and got to hear Mark Nicholas calling the win. And you have to say it was bloody lovely etc etc.

A fine, fine win that, though. One of the best England wins in years I would say.
