I was so excited to see a spinner run through batting line ups like a fast bowler, just to end up losing his mojo too soon.

Ziaur Rahman- the bull, he was one that I expected to fire in the BD lower order (seems like Mahmudullah have taken up this role lately).

Jubair Hossain- he was a pretty good leggie. Just needed good coaching.

Saqlain Sajib- easy on eye SLA. It’s a shame he didn’t play more matches for BD.

Imrul Kayes 1.0- had all the ingredients to be a top SC batsman. Failed miserably. Imrul Kayes 2.0 is the better version.

Mosaddek Hossain- this guy has an insane FC average. At one point, he was just below Hanuma Vihari. Management decided to play him in white ball cricket and not test cricket. Hate this so much.

fleming should have scored more runs. so, probably, should taylor.

sinclair.

pinga, though not really his fault. can't score runs if the selectors are afraid you'll slog a few more than the nurdling little kiwi battlers they love so much.

With a debut test century at Cape Town of all places, and that too run a ball, I thought he'd be the X factor player that WI needed desperately. He had all the shots to average at least 40 with a SR of 70-80 to go with it. And his bowling wasn't gash either.

We really ****ed with his workload right from the beginning of his career.

For instance, he was 19 years old in the 2004 India/Pakistan series and was bowled to the ground. In the 2nd test, he was made to bowl 44 overs in the first innings which was drastically more than any other fast bowler. He ended up bowling more overs (134 in 3 tests) than anyone else that series including even Anil Kumble.

He obviously did incredibly well and was a big part of our win but wish we managed his workload a lot better and let him focus on being a strike bowler with the new ball.
