Rahane was clearly trying to keep the hope for a win alive after Gill set the tone.

Che Pu is the contingency plan, and I assume Agarwal and Sundar will be tasked with stonewalling duties if he falls

Pant is the #intent with Shardulkar to follow.

Our bowlers are useless with the bat so hopefully it doesn't get to them

If it's around 120 to win in the final session, I think they'll go for glory.

Btw, what's the prognosis for India's bowlers for the upcoming India v England series? Shami and Bumrah likely to be fit?

Agree and probably fair enough but only if they're no more than three down. Three down at tea with no weather interruptions was what I thought the cut off for "have a crack in the final session" would be this morning (I even made a post IIRC). Rahane's innings was dumb though. Just a waste really.

Lyon has definitely looked much better today. Getting a much better trajectory with a bit of drift out and hitting the inside half of the bat more often.
