The thing which makes this innings so disappointing is that with the exception of Warner and Green, every single batsmen threw their wickets away. This pitch, against this attack was a 550+, bat once pitch.

Would have a bloke just a bit closer and slightly finer than the square leg ump for Sharma off Starc

Nah, you dont get to play on first day Gabba bouncy road against a 3rd level attack for your country that often and most batsmen would be just as annoyed if they leave as many runs as Smith did on the wicket there.
Nah, was a clip of him getting bowled during the slog in some ODI. Carries on like a child.

Whatever it takes!!!
330 batting first is average here apparently
But that would include many visiting sides batting first and getting spooked out. Based on how the wicket itself played, I think 400 is par. And usually when you win the toss and bat first anywhere in the world, you are kinda expecting to score 400 unless its an absolute greentop or minefield where you still bat first for some reason.

Seriously, it's great endurance from the 4 aussie bowlers to play all 4 tests and still bowl with the same energy while our bowlers are breaking like glass before getting through a single innings.
