4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

I didn’t watch Day 5 but there seemed to be a few lifters bowled by Haze to Ashwin and then one that seemed to get stuck in the pitch that he masterfully chipped over Haze just past the bowling crease
There was about a fifteen minute spell after tea where Ashwin just had crazy luck. Every second ball was scooped, chipped, or edged in the air just over or short of fielders and he was dropped by Abbott once (though it was a very difficult catch)

It's not like your blokes did much better in the second dig with the ball.

It was an epic save but at no point were India actually on top. When a test is a draw with less than 30 wickets taken to non- run outs you can safely say the pitch was a road. Interestingly there was more variable bounce on day 3 than day 5 as well. The pitch just got flatter and flatter as the match went on.

Doesn't mean your blokes didn't bat well, of course they did to survive 4 sessions. But Australia's bowling wasn't really the problem, except for a short period after tea where they bowled too short. Any other day and they'd have cleaned up those wickets with an hour to go.
OK.....

Was cummins but yeah he had 4-5 of those in a 2 over spell. After that, he and Vihari made sure Ashwin only faced Lyon and vihari only pace.

this has to go in the thread
Its in Tamil unfortunately. Alyssa healy had mentioned it a few months ago so was nice to get Ashwin confirming it. Wish Kohli had admitted it tbh, would be funny to watch him pretend he's no longer a horndog.

Without Bumrah and Ashwin it would be extremely difficult to stop Warner .
Once again we need a Pujara special innings.

Warner shouldn't even be playing with that injury. Funny how he had obvious difficulty getting that front foot out and across, yet looked ok chasing down balls in the field. Walking wicket atm; just dangle the ball way outside off and he'll have a go sooner than later.

"We are locked up in our rooms, have to make our own beds, clean our own toilets. Food is coming from a nearby Indian restaurant which will be given to us on our floor. We can’t move out of the floor that’s been designated to us. The entire hotel is empty, but we can’t use any amenities in the hotel including the swimming pool and the gym. All the cafes and restaurants in the hotel are shut".

What was the point of booking the whole hotel for them, then?

Is this their conditions in Sydney or in Brisbane?

Was a flat deck no doubt, but the Aussie bowlers (Starc and Lyon mainly) simply bowled piss poor for too long. Starc's spell of harmless leg side bouncers was dreadful, and you saw in the final 10 overs or so how much better he started bowling when he pitched it up from round the wicket. Difficult pitch to bowl a team out on, sure, but they still should've managed it.
That harmless spell was literally 3 overs. And I know the game is a game of millimeters but India finished the day having literally lost 3 wickets in the day. An extra 3 overs didn't look like it'd produce a result.

It was only three overs because it was so crap that he got yanked out of the attack. That's not exactly an endorsement.

Next step: out of the side
just stop. at some point this goes beyond making a point and it's just flat-out trolling. we got you the first twenty times and the fact that no one is replying any more should give you the hint.

To respond seriously, if both teams have the same conditions then one cannot complain. Having said that, I think the issue for the Indian team is that they were not informed this is how it will be. I guess it is the fault of either CA or BCCI or maybe both that they were not informed about the exact conditions of their stay.
