That was a GOAT Indian batting line-up too . . . and Aakash Chopra for some reasonIt would be quite astonishing if such a highly regarded and statistically imposing bowling quartet of Cummins/Starc/Hazlewood/Lyon failed to win home series against India twice in three seasons.
To put that into perspective, Australia managed to draw their home 03/04 series against India with Warne and McGrath absent and their pace attack at varying stages including Bichel, Bracken & Williams.
Aakash actually did a really good job that series. Saw off the new ball really well for Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and (in Sydney) Tendulkar to play their strokes. That was a GOAT Indian batting line-up too . . . and Aakash Chopra for some reason
Just saying, next to the rest of the top 6 he's not exactly a name you put forward as an Indian great.Aakash actually did a really good job that series. Saw off the new ball really well for Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and (in Sydney) Tendulkar to play their strokes.
He was also partnering a young Sehwag and was a great foil for him.
I'd imagine Kuldeep will play only if Ashwin is ruled out.Wait, Kuldeep and Sundar both might play?
I'd go for broke and play Sundar. India's Bowling with the five man attack has kept them in this series.why change that ?If Pant can't keep, then there is no way they can play 5 bowlers.
Have to go:
Siraj
Nattu
Saini/Shardul
Kuldeep
You reckon? Don't know if it would have made much difference, they would have just declared with 100 less runs in the secon dinnings and still given India the same target and time to bat.Yeah though tbf India's success this series has mostly been on the back of their bowling. Even test 3. If Aus had have compiled an extra hundred runs in the first innings it would have been game over.
Pity India have no idea how to keep cricketers healthy. Now all their injured players is just an excuse why they lose at the Gabba
What's changed? I got a couple of interesting job proposals which might go up in flames now, haha.Ahh okay. A little surprised he decided to tbh, getting back into Australia if you're a private citizen/permanent resident is a ****ing nightmare right now.
Would be appropriate for him to dayboo in Australia’s chennai thenReckon Sundar should play tbh in place for Jadeja. His first class stats are not bad for an all-rounder and I do think he might develop into a good finger spin option for India in the long term.
Plus he is also from Chennai which should mightily please Burgey sweetheart.
They just reduced the already pitiful intake quotas. What's changed? I got a couple of interesting job proposals which might go up in flames now, haha.
And still unable to bowl us outThere does come a point when the Australian bowlers need to get some credit for maiming blokes out of the tour.
