So if we assume the worst for all of the injuries (i.e. if Bumrah, Mayank, Ashwin are confirmed out), we're looking at something like this?

1. Rohit
2. Gill
3. Pujara
4. Rahane
5. Pant
6. Shaw
7. Saha / Sundar
8. Thakur / Natarajan
9. Yadav
10. Saini
11. Siraj

That would make one hell of a scorecard to look back on in 15 years time.

It means you turn up as and when to discuss what's doing regardless of the outcome of the match. Not a quality shared by everyone here.
Okay, but that's not what happened here? The match got over, and there are no posts of him talking about the game other than Paine-Ash (a thread he started, not joined the discussion in) and lol Pant fake injury (again, a topic he started, not joined in).

That's different from what you're saying, isn't it?

You are talking about Red, he is talking about Senile Sentry.

The bowling lineup is... yeah, but honestly that batting lineup would still outmatch most Test lineups going around. Shaw at 6 looks much more of an asset than Shaw as opener.

It's gonna be a good trivia question someday.

So.......

Rohit
Gill
Pujara
Rahane
Mayank/Shaw
Pant
Ashwin/Saha/Sundar
Kuldeep
Shardul
Saini/Natarajan
Siraj

This is literally all that is left of our side there right now. :(

Not sure Sundar is their?

Also was under the impression that Shardul is better than Kuldeep with the bat?

Perhaps it's worthwhile India just stacking the batting as much as possible in Brisbane and going for a draw? Makes it easier for them in the home series against England if they achieved it I believe.

Alternatively, if they choose to risk Bumrah then they're going to have to pick Sundar, right (or #canbat Thakur at 7, lol)? Would be madness to go in with a four man attack if he's half-baked, given the inexperience of the others and the lack of any top order bowling options.

I don't think they physically have enough fit batsmen to do that, unless they recalled Dhawan from Melbourne or something.

Theoretically yes, but apparently the only batsman we have left in the tank is Shaw and that is gonna last like 5 balls tops two innings put together.

There are no batsmen left to stack with, James

KL is out, Viahri is out, Mayank may be out. Shaw may be the only one left, and he's barely a batsman right now

That's a normal batting lineup though, not really stacking (especially as you've had to pick two keepers). I'm assuming Mayank is out here though that's far from confirmed.

Oh wow, ok. Perhaps on reflection, India should have done what the West Indies and Pakistan did in New Zealand and sent an A team at the same time.
